Sit Still and Smile

Toddlers are notorious for being on the move. The newfound freedom of transitioning from crawling to walking, walking to scampering, scampering to running, is an invitation to be mobile. Who wants to sit still when the world beacons to be explored by curious little minds. My daughter is curious, and so expressive these days. As she grows I find it evermore challenging to keep her seated in one place for a portrait. Natural light is my best friend when it comes to taking her photos.

Later in the day, after she was ready for bedtime, she sat still for a few quick photos with my new light, and even harassed the dog in the process. I know parenting a toddler is tough, but it is also so rewarding. I love this kid. She's taught me to go with the flow.

Sheba is not amused.
