Nana and I had the privilege of attending M's class party and then taking her out to lunch and a place of her choice. The rain was pouring down so M chose the local library. Her class was filled with energy and the kids did a craft of decorating a flower pot, then planting a small flower. After lunch at Kneaders, it was obvious that M was growing sleepy. Off to the library we went, and she headed straight for the computer with learning games.
As I age, I realize holidays are more about the kids and those we are close with. It doesn't have to be complex, it doesn't have to be grand, but it's one of those times I notice the everyday moments.
